Two-Track Model (Track A / Track B)

Buktika runs two tracks: recognising land that has stayed whole, and restoring land that needs active help.

What the Two-Track Model is

The model behind Buktika's ECO structure.

What it is

Buktika runs two tracks. Track A recognises land that has stayed whole and undisturbed — a certificate and a recognition payment, with no servitude on the title. Track B restores land that needs active help — a step-by-step works programme, with a servitude only at the final, most intensive stage. Every Buktika farm sits on one or both tracks.

What it is not

The Two-Track Model is not a third channel alongside Eco Conservation and Eco Restoration — it is the underlying model those two channels publicly implement. Track A is Buktika's Sielsgrond work, presented publicly as Eco Conservation; Track B is Buktika's restoration work, presented publicly as Eco Restoration. Being on a track does not by itself decide payments or land rights — those follow from the specific programme (Sielsgrond Programme or Restoration Programme) a farm's mapped area is enrolled in.

Where this comes from

The Two-Track Model is defined in Buktika's D1 Part 2 legal document. "Eco Conservation" and "Eco Restoration," the public channel names this page and the rest of Buktika's ECO structure use, are Buktika's own approved public architecture for presenting Track A and Track B — they are not themselves D1-defined terms, and they do not change what Track A or Track B mean.

This page is a plain-language public explanation. D1 Part 2 remains the sole authoritative source for the Two-Track Model's legal meaning.
