Sielsgrond recognises long-undisturbed land that carries ecological value because it was protected by restraint, memory, and responsible use. The older and more intact the land, the deeper the recognition. It is certificate-led, with a recognition payment to the Landowner.
Sielsgrond does not claim a restoration uplift, and it does not create a servitude on the land — the Landowner keeps title, unchanged. Sielsgrond is also not the same thing as "Eco Conservation": Eco Conservation is the channel; Sielsgrond is the specific programme that channel governs.
Sielsgrond has three evidence stages. They reflect how much evidence and continuity exists — not how intact the land is.
