Symmetric Landowner protection

If Buktika falls behind on a visit or an accepted payment, the Landowner can pause their own obligations, without penalty.

What Symmetric Landowner protection is

A protection that runs both ways between Buktika and the Landowner.

What it is

If Buktika fails to make a visit or an accepted payment on time, the Landowner has the right to pause their own obligations on the affected land, without penalty, until Buktika performs. It applies across both the Sielsgrond Programme and the Restoration Programme.

What it is not

Symmetric Landowner protection is not a right to terminate the agreement, and it is not a claim for damages — it is a right to pause, penalty-free, until Buktika performs. It does not itself resolve a dispute about whether a visit or payment was actually late.
