What it is

A Restoration Polygon is the specific, mapped area within a farm that is enrolled in the Restoration Programme. It marks exactly which part of the land the works stages (RP1–RP7) apply to — not the whole farm by default.

What it is not

A Restoration Polygon is not the same thing as a farm's overall registered boundary (its Farm Polygon), which is recorded by the Surveyor-General and can contain several different programme areas alongside ordinary farming land. A Restoration Polygon can be smaller than the farm it sits inside, and is not itself the Restoration Programme — it is the mapped area that programme applies to. Reaching a later Restoration Programme stage does not change the Restoration Polygon's boundary by itself.
